Hello friends, I hope you are all well. I know I have been absent from this space, I have been working on a little project, dedicating every spare minute that I can to it which as a mother is not a lot. You see, in recent months I have been contemplating life and thinking back on all my goals and dreams...things I was happy to put aside while our babies were still young but that I hoped to revisit one day. For reasons I won't elaborate on at the moment we have decided that our little family is complete and with Kaizer growing up faster than I would like I am ready to start slowly pursuing the dreams I have held onto for what seem like a life time. Dreams that I never really thought would see the light of day are becoming tangible...so much so that I can almost reach out and grasp them.
As I sit amongst a sea of pretty vintage florals (thanks Kylie), sketches and ideas jotted down on random pieces of paper that I have been accumulating over the years, I am reminded of my grandmother and her unwavering patience at teaching me her many skills.
That little girl who long ago dreamed of using those skills to bring a little beauty into the world of others is now all grown up and ready to make those dreams a reality. This little project was always something I thought my sister and I would pursue together...we would sit for hours chatting, planning and dreaming about such a thing...unfortunately due to distance it's just not possible.
That aside, I am beyond excited to finally be at a place in my life where I can start putting all the pieces of the puzzle together and I can't wait to be able to share more with you. In the mean time I'll keep popping by when time allows and updating my little space here when I can, I have some amazing recipes to show you.

Tammi this sounds wonderful! I'm so pleased you are pursuing your dreams, how exciting! There comes a time when it all just fits into place, the kids become just that little bit more independent, though life is still busy of course, and suddenly it's time to remember what those dreams were. I wish you so much happiness and success with it all, and I'm loving your new blog look too..x

I am intrigued and will be waiting patiently to see what life has in store for you. Funny how new stages of life sneak up on us and then we realise that the time is right to do the next thing/dream/longing.

Lovely to hear from you Tammi. I know what you mean about putting your dreams on hold. My boys are getting older too which means less time with mum . ; (.
