atelier cardigan....

Well I am a little way in to my cardigan now and thought I'd reveal which pattern I chose.  Initially I was tossing up between either the rocky coast or the abigail but decided on starting with the atelier.  As luck would have it, before ordering the yarn, I found an almost identical cardigan to the rocky coast at the op shop for $3 and after reading comments on Ravelry about the abigail cardi was a little intimidated to start that so the atelier it was.

I tend to get a little frustrated when it comes to choosing yarn, especially if I am buying it online.  Too many colours and varieties to choose from or not enough colours in a specific variety or never enough balls in the colour I want.  After much deliberation I ended up selecting a bamboo/wool blend  in a soft shade of grey from Bendigo Woollen Mills.  It is gorgeous to knit with and despite the limited colour palette I will definitely use it again.

Progress has been slow but steady and I figure if I dedicate a little knitting time each evening this will be well and truly finished in time for my trip home.

What projects are you currently working on?

Tammi this is gorgeous. Love the colour, love the pattern. I can't wait to see it on you. I have ordered from Bendigo Woollen Mills too. They are great to order through aren't they? What is this blend like? Wool can be prickly for me. Is this blend soft on your skin? You must be so excited about your trip. Have a lovely weekend. xxoo
