I tried to get some decent photos of Kaizer in his beanie but it's near impossible when he is on the move
Originally when I cast on this beanie I had intended it to be for Dawson, thinking it would be the perfect shield against the cold on our walks to school in the morning. Unfortunately it was way too tight, I guess that's why it pays to always check your gauge - something I am notorious for not doing.
It did however fit Kaizer like it was made for him, so win/win. The repetitiveness of the stitch made this an easy pattern to follow and being the first hat I have knit in the round I think it turned out brilliantly!
There are now requests for more beanies, a selection of both crochet and knitted styles, by the older males in the house. That, along with the cardi I want to make myself, ought to keep me busy for a while.
Hope you are enjoying your week.

Well done! This hat looks great. I've only ever crocheted a hat - knitting still daunts me.
